Ruby Amelia Davidson, 82, of Chattanooga passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024.

She was born in Valley Head, Al., on Feb. 6, 1942. She worked for and retired from Hamilton County Schools in the Records Department after 40 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith. Ruby was a member of VFW 4848, American Legion Post 95, and the Eagles Club. She served in various capacities in the Eagles Club, even as Madam President.

Ruby was preceded in death by her first husband, Glen Kidd, second husband, Harold Collins, a son, Jeff Kidd, parents, Monroe and Rhoda Whited, and several siblings.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Dennis Davidson; her son, Jimmy Kidd (Sandy); brother, Glyn Whited (Jeanette), grandchildren; Casey Kidd, Regan Barr (Jennifer), Rebecca Russell (Brandon), Zachary Kidd, great-grandchildren; Dakota, Jayden, and Theodora, several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

A Celebration of Ruby’s Life will be held graveside on Friday, Dec. 27, at Lakewood Memory Gardens South at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends Thursday Dec. 26, from 4–6 p.m.
