The Lady Chargers of CCS and sensational freshman Momo Moore were too much for the visiting Lady Raiders of Cleveland Tuesday night. CCS’s Moore had 31 points to lead all scorers.
Cleveland led 27-25 at halftime as Anyah Huffman scored 15 of her 21 points in the first half for the Lady Raiders. Neither team was able to pull away until the final minutes of the game.
CCS handled the Cleveland pressure late in the game with Moore being double and triple teamed still finished with six in the fourth quarter but more importantly had several assists to teammates as the Lady Chargers held on to the lead in the final minute. Lailani Hatten finished with nine and Jaydah Rainey had six and several key rebounds in the final minutes.
CLEVELAND BOYS 68 CCS 50 The game remained close in first half but the Raiders pulled away in the second half for the road win. Cleveland led led by Tim Matthews' double-double with 15 and 10 rebounds, Westfield with 14 and Ndewa with 13. CCS was led by Jack Fox with 14 points.
