U.S. Army Veteran Served In Vietnam

Ronald "Tater" Tatum, Sr., 71, of East Ridge, passed away on November 30, 2024.

He was a Vietnam veteran having served in the U.S. Army. Ronald was a member of American Legion Post 95, the Post 95 Legion Riders and the Post 95 Honor Guard.

Ron attended Kirkman High School and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Nelson, brother, John Little and sister, Shirley Lewis.

Survivors include his son, Ronnie Tatum, Jr. (Laura) and daughter, Veronica Johnson; grandchildren, Amberly, Grace, Madelyn, Richie Trevor and Cierra; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Jayce and Jaxen; sister, Linda Hull (Billy).

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 9, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 p.m. on Monday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.

Following the graveside service there will be a Celebration of Life service at the William E. Blair American Legion Post 95.
