Chattanooga softball junior Olivia Lipari was named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Softball Player of the Week for all games played February 12-18.
Lipari hit .636 for the week in the Chattanooga Challenge. She was 7-for-11 at the plate with a double and two home runs. She drew four walks, recorded a pair of sac bunts and scored six runs.
Lipari opened the weekend hitting 2-for-2 with a three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth to break up a 7-7 tie against Ball State. She also had a sac bunt, stolen base and drew a walk.
On the second day Lipari was 3-for-5 on the day with a home run, double, two RBI and three runs scored. She had the game winning run in the eighth inning against the Cardinals in the opener on Saturday.
In the nightcap against Murray State with Acelynn Sellers on base, Lipari crushed her second multi-RBI home run of the weekend. She took the first pitch over the fence in left field to put the Mocs up 3-0.
Chattanooga hits the road Wednesday for a single game at Jacksonville State. First pitch is set for 6:00 p.m. in Jacksonville, Ala.
