Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation has appointed Vicky Anderton, RN, CCRN, as director of nursing of its Subacute Rehabilitation Program.

With over 40 years of nursing experience, Ms. Anderton came to Siskin Hospital eight years ago wanting to not only continue her passion for patient care, but also experience the subacute side of nursing.

“It is heartwarming to see our patients who are struggling with their everyday care progress to the point of being able to go home and take care of themselves,” said Ms.
Anderton.

Since her interim appointment in January 2024, Ms. Anderton has been instrumental in increasing patient access to Siskin Subacute West, while maintaining the program’s high quality of patient care for its patients.

“Vicky’s focus and dedication have played a pivotal role in positioning Siskin West in a favorable position. We eagerly anticipate the remarkable achievements that she, alongside the nursing team, will accomplish,” said Aaron Spinks, COO of Siskin Hospital.

“My staff know me and know that my door is always open. Taking care of our patients is always top priority, but to do so successfully we have to be a team. That team now starts with me,” said Ms. Anderton.

Officials said, "The Subacute Program at Siskin West provides patients with an interdisciplinary therapy program that is less intensive than traditional comprehensive inpatient treatment. Siskin West is consistently recognized among the nation’s top short-term rehabilitations facilities."
