The Chattanooga Mocs fell 33-11 at Indiana Friday night. The Mocs captured three wins on the evening as the Hoosiers veteran squad earned a win on their Senior Night.
It was a tough start when Ty Tice got caught by Blaine Frazier by fall. Blake Boarman responded with a hard-fought 9-8 decision over Cayden Rooks before Isaiah Powe made it 8-6 with a second period tech fall at 141.
IU won the next three classes with three ranked guys flipping the score to 18-8 with a tech fall followed by a major and a decision.
Sergio Desiante got the good guys back on the board with an 8-1 decision over 20th-ranked D.J. Washington before the Hoosiers swept the final three classes.
“There’s a lot to improve on,” Coach Kyle Ruschell said. “There were moments of really good wrestling tonight, but we have to be better from start to finish. Sergio showed that. He wrestled a tough opponent and controlled the match from start-to-finish”
The Mocs close out the dual season Sunday at Bellarmine. The match airs on ESPN+ from Louisville, Ky.
