The Rotary Club of Chattanooga Hamilton Place honored 2023-2024 school year Influential Educators from five local high schools during a club meeting. The club has hosted this award program since 2003, and Rotarians Brigette Thurman and Stephen Pike organized and co-chaired the event.

Students from each school were ask to vote for the influential educator whose actions exemplify Rotary's motto, "Service Above Self," and demonstrate unselfish devotion to encourage, inspire and help their students succeed.

The five schools represented with their honoree educators were Boyd Buchanan School (Julia Rox), Collegedale Academy (Tyler Hodges), East Hamilton High School (LuShan Webb), Ooltewah High School (Audri Wood), and Silverdale Baptist Academy (Dr. Sarah Johnson).

Students involved in the nominations had the privilege of introducing their teachers and highlighting how each teacher made a positive impact in shaping their life.
