Dalton Goodwill Store And Opportunity Center Grand Opening Draws Large Crowd

Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area celebrated the grand opening of its store and Opportunity Center in Dalton with a celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday morning. The 1001 Market St. location includes a Goodwill retail store, a Donation Xpress center and an Opportunity Center. This is the 18th retail store location and the second Opportunity Center location for Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area.

Through their Goodwill Opportunity Centers, Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area provides training, education, and employment for people in their 23-county territory in Tennessee and North Georgia.

The store’s hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Opportunity Center hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. Goodwill accepts donations during regular store hours.

Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area employs over 350 individuals, many of whom have barriers to employment.
