Steven Harold Powell, 80, joined the heavenly choir on Saturday, April 13, 2024.

Steve was a loving husband of 61 years to Rebecka Woody Powell. He was devoted to his family and a friend to many by always putting others first. He had a way of making everyone feel loved. His smile was wide and his laugh infectious.

He was a faithful and longtime member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed worshipping there.

Steve and his wife Becky were sole proprietors of Let Us Light Your World for 36 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Opal Powell; three brothers, Lawrence, Jerry and Mallory and sister, Sarah.

He is survived by his wife, Becky and their four children, Teresa (Jeff) Gibson, Ronda (Kent) Moore, Sheri (Tommy) Chamberlain and son, Scott Powell, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many extended family members that he loved so dearly.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 16, from 5-8 p.m. at Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 4400 Bonny Oaks Drive, Chattanooga. Pastor Preston Brown will conduct the service on Wednesday, April 17, at 11 a.m. in the church.

Interment will follow at Hamilton County Memorial Park.
