“GO LIVE” Summer Media Teen Camp Returns

  • Friday, April 19, 2024
The City of Chattanooga’s Department of Community Development has partnered with Dynamo Studios to host the “GO LIVE” Summer Media Teen Camp, where participants can express their creativity and experiment with music, media and technology.

The camp will be held from June 3-Aug. 2 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the city’s state-of-the-art media center/recording studio at the South Chattanooga Community Center, 1151 W. 40th St., with instruction from Dynamo Studios artists.

Working under the guidance of seasoned professionals, teens between the ages of 13 and 17 will collaborate with others to create music, videos and graphics.
At the end of the summer, teens will be featured in a special showcase.

"Empowering teens through the Go Live Media Camp isn't just about honing creative skills; it's about shaping futures,” said Marcus Thoams, Community Center specialist. “These talents aren't just tools for expression; they're keys to unlocking doors in the digital age. With every beat crafted, every image captured and every design perfected, they're building bridges to careers that merge passion with profession. The Go Live Media Camp is a launchpad for dreams, where every click of the camera and every tweak of the soundboard paves the way to a future where creativity knows no bounds."

Enrollment is free on a first-come, first-served basis, with 30 spots available.

"Teens will leave camp with the confidence and knowledge that they created something unique, with an opportunity to return and participate throughout the school year," officials said.
