Chattanooga Soccer Adds Three Transfers

Chattanooga soccer head coach Gavin McKinney announced the addition of three graduate transfers. Taylor Morris, Brenna Swiger and Hannah Morton will join Chattanooga in the 2024 fall semester.

Taylor Morris
Defender | 5-11 | Port Coquitlam, B.C. | Terry Fox HS | Valdosta State
Taylor Morris played in 60 games during her career at Valdosta State starting in 59 of them, amassing a total of 4833 minutes on the field. She helped the Blazers to fifteen shutouts and four conference tournament appearances.
She closed out her career with two goals and six assists as a defender. This season. she helped the Blazers to four shutouts and nine games with just one goal scored against. In 2022 she led the team in assists with four.

She is a three-time All-Gulf South Conference honoree, one of only three in program history to earn the honor three or more times. She was also named to the GCS Academic Honor Roll each year.

Brenna Swiger – Cumberland
Midfielder | 5-8 | Franklin, Tenn | Franklin High School | Cumberland
Brenna Swiger started all 58 games she played at Cumberland, logging more than 4,600 minutes on the pitch. She scored 25 career goals and tallied 21 assists for 71 points. She recorded five game winning goals in her career.

In 2023, Swiger was second on the team in scoring with 18 goals and nine assists for 45 points. She had game winning goals against Baker (KS), Shawnee State, Freed-Hardeman (TN) and St. Thomas.

She had a hat trick against Shawnee State and tallied five in a Phoenix win over Freed-Hardeman.

Swiger earned Second Team All-Mid-South Conference honors, was named the Mid-South Conference Offensive Player of the Week once last season as well as the Tennessee Sports Writers Association Player of the Week one time.

Cumberland ranked 13th in the final NAIA Top 25 and advanced to the Round of 16 of the NAIA National Championship. 

Hannah Morton
Midfielder | 5-3 | Nolensville, Tenn. | Father Ryan | UNCG
Hannah Morton played in 57 games over her career with the Spartans. She scored six goals and recorded three assists for 15 career points at midfield. Last season she scored the game-tying goal against The Citadel and the game winner against VMI in the season finale. During her UNCG career she has a goal or assist against four of the nine other Southern Conference teams.

Morton was named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
