Upcoming Street Closures

Here are the upcoming street closures: 


Nightfall
NEW FOR 2024: Please note changes in both locations and times for road closures from previous years. The following roads and intersections will be closed every Friday starting May 24 through Aug. 30 from 4 p.m. until midnight:
Cherry Street at E MLK Boulevard
Martin Luther King Boulevard Between Market Street and Lindsay Street (Market Street will remain open in both directions for the duration)
Georgia Avenue from E 10th Street to MLK Boulevard
Georgia Avenue from MLK Boulevard to E 8th Street

Any traffic needing to exit businesses or street parking spaces after the closure begins will be permitted to leave the closure at the intersection of MLK Boulevard and Lindsay Street.

Riverfront Nights Concert Series
The following roads will be closed and restrictions in place on Saturday from noon until 10:30 p.m.:
Riverfront Parkway between Chestnut Street and Power Alley will be closed.
All trucks over 2 axles will be prohibited between W MLK Boulevard and Aquarium Way. Only local deliveries will be permitted. Any through trucks that attempt to enter this area will be ticketed
Street parking will be prohibited on Chestnut Street and Power Alley next to the Chattanooga Green.

Chattanooga Football Club Home Match 
The following roads will be closed on Saturday from 3 p.m. until midnight:
Reggie White Boulevard between the Chattanooga Skate Park north entrance and W 20th Street (Reggie White will remain closed until 6 p.m. Sunday for the Chattanooga Market)
Chestnut Street between W 17th Street and W 19th Street
W 19th Street between Reggie White Boulevard and Chestnut Street
Street parking will be prohibited on Chestnut Street within the closure on the dates/times listed above. Vehicles left within the closure will be towed at the owner's expense. 

Chattanooga Market
Reggie White Boulevard between W 19th Street and the Skate Park access road will close on the following dates/times for events related to the Chattanooga Market:
Saturday starting at 8 a.m. for the Chattanooga Beer Fest and will remain closed through Sunday
Sunday the closure will end at 6 p.m. following the Chattanooga Market Street Food Festival

Chattanooga Chase
The following roads will be closed and restrictions in place on Monday from 5:30-11:30 a.m.:
Barton Avenue between Terrace Avenue and Dorchester Avenue will be closed
Dorchester Road between Barton Avenue and Hixson Pike will be closed
Hanover Street between Hixson Pike and Dorchester Road will be closed
The right lane of Hixson Pike northbound between Woodhill Drive and Minnekahda Place will be closed
Two races will begin at 8  and 10 a.m. respectively. Participants will be sharing the right of way with traffic, please use caution during these times on the following roads: Devonshire Avenue, North Avenue, Concord Street, Riverview Road, Woodhill Drive, Shady Circle, Sunset Road and Minnekahoa Road.
