The Whirlpool facility in Bradley County is laying off 50 workers, plant officials have informed the state.
It is part of an overall cut of l,000 employees throughout the Whirlpool operation.
The announcement on the overall reductions came in late April.
The cuts, aimed at $400 million in cost savings, were affecting salaried positions.
