American Cancer Society Names Cindy Lee 2024 Gala Of Hope Chair

  • Monday, June 10, 2024

The American Cancer Society of Chattanooga announce Cindy Lee, CEO and president of Lync Logistics, as the 2024 Gala of Hope chair.

The Gala of Hope featuring the Yacht Rock Revue is set to take place Oct. 25 at the Chattanooga Westin.

Ms. Lee will not be alone as she will be teaming up with daughter, Taylor Lee Vinson, vice president at Idealease of Chattanooga, as her committee chair.

The Gala of Hope is the American Cancer Society’s largest fundraiser for Chattanooga, raising money to support cancer research and this year has been an exceptionally difficult year losing two 2023 Honorees to cancer (Sybil Topel and Erin May).

This year the gala will take a break from the traditional black tie formal gala (but it will be back in 2025), taking on a twist with an elevated concert experience with the Yacht Rock Revue. The theme for the evening will be a Vintage Yacht party, enjoying music from the 70’s and 80’s.

The evening will include all the traditional components of the gala such as the VIP pre party and reception (sponsored by Linda Brock Homes), live and silent auction, mission moment for local resources and the announcement of the 2025 Dr. Headrick Distinguished Award Honoree. Guests will enjoy cocktails in one of the three bars including appetizer buffet stations.

According to Ms. Lee, “The Yacht Rock Revue has a big following in Chattanooga, and we felt it was time for us to change it up a little after the loss of so many we love.”

The evening will close with a luminary dedication lighting on the lawn (luminary garden sponsored by Tennessee Oncology). Luminary bags are available for a $10 donation online for those who would like to honor someone they have lost to cancer during the luminary dedication.

All proceeds will go towards patient navigational resources, including transportation to treatment, lodging for those in need of treatment who live outside the city and cancer research to help support local doctors with the latest treatments and trials available to cancer patients. Sponsorship opportunities are available and special ticket packages available for a limited time.

Go to galaofhopechatt.org or https://ChattGala24.givesmart.com to buy tickets or luminary dedication bags.
