Dalton State's Brock Hoover Named SSAC Male Scholar-Athlete Of The Year

 Dalton State men's golfer Brock Hoover has been named the Barnes & Noble College Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year by the Southern States Athletic Conference. He is also the Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
 
It was a solid start to the season for Hoover with 3 top-15 finishes in four events. He got stronger as the season went on finishing with 1 victory and two other top-5 finishes and a 71.4 scoring average that ranked him as the #16 individual nationally.
 
The senior from Woodstock finished his career with a GPA just shy of 4.0 in the classroom.
On the course, his 2024 ended with a bang as he repeated as individual medalist at the SSAC Men's Golf Championship. He also recorded a top-15 finish at the national tournament which solidified a 1st team All-America selection by the NAIA.
 
Hoover went straight into the workforce right after the 2024 NAIA Men's Golf National Championship, starting a position in Atlanta on the Monday following the tournament.
