Betty E. Ward, 83, of Soddy Daisy, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 15, 2024.

Born in Soddy Daisy, she lived in Chattanooga for 35 years before moving back. She attended Oak Street Baptist Church. Betty was a great cook and enjoyed sewing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Ward; parents, O.L. and Bernice Franklin; stepfather, Jimmy Miller; brother, Ernest Bo Miller, Clarence Miller; sister, Bertha Miller.

Survivors are her children, Ron Ward, Dwight Ward, Dwayne Ward (Martha), Susan Casey (Ken); grandchildren, Erica Ward Sims, Kimberly Ward, Grace Ward, Allie Ward, Elizabeth Boatman (Ryan), Bryan Casey (Natalie), Christina Church (Garrett), Erin Marshall (Grant); great grandchildren, Kris Sims, Roni Sims, Skylar Belcher, Ridley Boatman, Isla Boatman, Rhodes Boatman, Jack Church, Beau Casey, Cass Tate Travis; siblings, Dink Knight, Judy Wallace, Joy Miller and Tommy Miller; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 18, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be on Wednesday, June 19, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Chuck Patrick officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Sissy Dye and the sitters with Ark Ridge for their love and care.
