Artillery Firing Demonstrations At Point Park Will Be July 6

  • Saturday, June 22, 2024

Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park will present artillery firing demonstrations inside Point Park, on Lookout Mountain on Saturday, July 6, at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., and 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 p.m.

Entrance to Point Park is $10 per adult (ages 16 years and older; ages 15 years and younger enter free of charge). If a visitor has an America the Beautiful National Parks & Federal Recreational Lands Pass, the passholder and three other adults may enter for free.

The role artillery played during the siege of Chattanooga was a critical factor in the struggle for control of the town. This program will look at how Lookout Mountain played an important role in what artillery was able to do in that struggle.
