The Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics is planning to build a two-story facility on Sonia Lane at Tyner Road. It will have about 38,000 square feet.
The Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics currently owns the Surgery Center at 7450 Tyner Road which is east of and adjacent to the Sonia Lane properties.
The Sonia Lane properties are owned by FXS Ventures, LLC., which is associated with the Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics.
There will be associated parking and driveways fronting on the currently 30-foot un-opened right-of-way of Sonia Lane, which is between the parcels and the existing Surgery Center.
The four parcels are currently zoned R-2 and were previously used as residential dwellings. The proposed use requires a Commercial zoning, similar to the existing Surgery Center which is zoned C-2.
The group is requesting that these four parcels be re-zoned to the C-2 zone for the proposed office building development.
There are plans for the construction of a new access from Tyner Road in the un-opened right of way of Sonia Lane.
