Chattanooga women’s basketball rounded out its 2024-25 schedule on Wednesday with the reveal of the team’s 2025 SoCon slate, as originally announced by the Southern Conference earlier in the day.
The Mocs, who are the reigning 2024 Southern Conference regular season and tournament champions, are on a quest to reach the team’s third consecutive NCAA Tournament and 18th all-time. The Mocs enter their 42nd season as a member of the Southern Conference, having won a grand total of 23 SoCon regular season and 20 SoCon Tournament titles, both of which mark league-leading totals.
Chattanooga’s 14-game Southern Conference slate is set to begin on January 9, when the Mocs travel to Cullowhee, North Carolina, to take on Western Carolina.
That same weekend, UTC will head to Greensboro for a rematch of the 2024 SoCon title game by taking on UNCG on January 11.
Additionally, the Mocs have added one last non-conference opponent to their 2024-25 schedule, with UTC now set to travel to Louisville, Kentucky, on December 12 to take on Bellarmine. This now bumps Chattanooga’s non-conference slate up to 14 total games, and the Mocs’ full 2024-25 schedule up to 28 regular season contests.
The Mocs’ home-opening weekend of their conference schedule is set to take place over January 16 and January 18, with UTC welcoming Samford and Mercer to the Roundhouse. Chattanooga will continue its homestand January 25 by playing host to in-state rival ETSU.
The front half of the Mocs’ SoCon schedule will then be closed out with road matchups at Wofford (January 30) followed by at Furman (February 1). The Mocs then return home for a pair of contests against UNCG and Western Carolina on February 6 and 8, respectively. UTC’s February 8 matchup with WCU will also serve as a doubleheader with the Chattanooga men’s basketball team, the lone doubleheader game day of the 2024-25 season.
To follow this up, UTC hits the road one last time for a trio of SoCon clashes at Mercer (February 13), Samford (February 15) and ETSU (February 22). The Mocs then close out their regular season at McKenzie Arena will two more games coming to the Scenic City, first against Furman on February 27 before the Mocs host Wofford on March 1 for UTC’s Senior Night.
The Southern Conference Tournament is scheduled to run March 6-9 in Asheville, North Carolina, with all games once again being played at Harrah’s Cherokee Center. All times for UTC’s games this season are currently to be announced, and any updates to games can be found on the Chattanooga women’s basketball schedule page.
