The Covenant College men's golf team competed in the Bruins Golf Classic Sep. 16-17 at Cobb's Glen Country Club for its second tournament of the fall. As a whole, the Scots made improvements from their first outing as they finished tied for sixth out of 10 teams.
Grant Little led Covenant with a career-best finish of 11th at 12-over par. The senior shot 78 in both rounds. In his first tournament of the fall, Wiley Hickerson shot rounds of 84 and 81 to finish at 21-over par and in a tie for 28th. Titus Cooke was also at 21-over par and tied 28th. He came out strong with a round of 77, but ended the tournament shooting 88.
Another Scots golfer in tied 28th and 21-over par was Drew Silman. He posted rounds of 81 and 84.
Rounding out the Covenant lineup was Ayden Cordell at 24-over par and tied 37th. The freshmen opened the tournament with a score of 79 before closing it with 89.
Bo Luff competed as an individual for Covenant and showed some game shooting 15-over par to place tied 19th. The senior shot rounds of 79 and 80.
Covenant has a few weeks off before teeing it up at the Walters State Classic Oct. 7-8 in Morristown, Tennessee at The Country Club.
