Blood Assurance Announces Closures & Emergency Sunday Hours

Due to hazardous conditions, most Blood Assurance locations are now closed today. Several locations will also remain closed tomorrow (Saturday):
• Cleveland
• Downtown Chattanooga
• Gunbarrel
• North River (Hixson)
• Dalton
• Fort Oglethorpe

Officials said this winter storm has significantly impacted their blood supply—they typically need at least 540 donors daily to meet hospital demands. In response, they are opening select locations for emergency donation hours this Sunday (9 a.m.-1 p.m.):
• Cleveland
• Downtown Chattanooga
• Gunbarrel
• North River

Critical Need: O-negative, AB plasma, and platelet donors.

Incentives: O-negative and AB plasma donors will receive a $25 e-gift card, and all donors will receive a free long-sleeve t-shirt.
