Craig Lambert Named CEO Of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital Of Chattanooga

Craig Lambert has been appointed as chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Chattanooga. 

The 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital is located at 2412 McCallie Ave. in Chattanooga, and holds The Joint Commission’s Disease-Specific Certification in Stroke, Amputee, Hip Fracture and Brain Injury Rehabilitation.
 
“I am honored to serve as CEO of Encompass Health of Chattanooga,” said Mr. Lambert. “I look forward to working with the hospital’s incredible staff to provide high-quality, compassionate care for our patients.”
 
Mr.
Lambert brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience to Encompass Health. He previously served as CEO of Select Specialty Hospital in Pensacola, Fl. Mr. Lambert led all hospital operations and managed patient experience. His accomplishments include reducing staff turnover, improving patient quality and expanding access to care. Mr. Lambert began his career with the U.S. Air Force working at various air bases across the country in medical and surgery centers.
 
“Craig is a results-oriented, dedicated healthcare executive,” said Abe Sims, president of Encompass Health’s MidAtlantic region. “With his diverse experience in hospital operations, compliance, and quality and risk management, I feel confident he will be successful in leading our hospital team.”

Mr. Lambert received a bachelor’s degree in healthcare management from the University of Alabama and a master of business administration from the University of Wyoming. He is also a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Mr. Lambert has won multiple awards over his career, including the Air Force Surgeon General’s Patient Safety Program of the Year (2017) and Outpatient Clinic of the Year (2018).
