Former Walker Valley Trackster Earns Pair Of GSC Honors

Liz Lannom, former Walker Valley track athlete current freshman at Lee University, earned the field and freshman athlete of the week awards from the Gulf South Conference for her performance at the recent Vanderbilt Invitational in Nashville.

Ms. Lannom competed in the pentathlon finishing sixth with 3,310 points and earning an NCAA provisional mark. 

As part of the pentathlon, she competed in the high jump and set a new school record at 5-6 and also a NCAA provisional mark in that event as well.
