Church Voter Guides Now Available Online

  • Monday, February 10, 2025

Church Voter Guides announces the release of its 2025 Chattanooga Municipal Election Voter Guides, available now at VoteChattanooga.org. These guides aim to inform Christian voters about where candidates stand on key issues affecting families, communities and faith.

"As citizens of faith, we have a responsibility to be informed about the values and policies of those running for office," said Rick Toner, spokesman for Church Voter Guides. "Our voter guides provide unedited, verbatim responses from candidates to ensure that voters receive clear and accurate information to make decisions that align with their biblical values."

The March Chattanooga Municipal Election will determine leadership for the following offices:

City Mayor
City Council – Districts 1-9

Candidates' responses address issues such as: moral values, accountability and transparency, faith-based collaboration, protecting life, public safety and gang activity.

Church Voter Guides collected questions directly from Chattanooga city citizens to ensure that the issues addressed reflect real concerns in the community. A few of the key questions asked to candidates include:

How do the moral principles of the Ten Commandments align with or differ from governmental laws and policies?

What measures would you implement to ensure transparency and public input in the city budgeting process, particularly for large expenditures or new initiatives?

How would you partner with faith-based organizations to address local issues such as homelessness, hunger and family support?

What specific policies or initiatives would you support to protect the most vulnerable in Chattanooga, including the unborn, the trafficked, and the elderly, while addressing the challenges these populations face?

What policies or actions would you support to address gang activity and ensure the safety of Chattanooga residents?

Church Voter Guides collects and publishes candidates' responses without any editing to provide voters with a genuine understanding of each candidate's positions. This initiative is designed to help voters make informed decisions that align with their values and beliefs.
