Landlord Asks Sticky Fingers Vacate Longtime Downtown Site

  • Tuesday, February 25, 2025

The landlord for a longtime downtown Chattanooga barbecue favorite has sent a notice of the termination of the lease.

Jack's Alley says it is owed $102,759 by Sticky Fingers (also known at Sticky Ribhouse), 420 Broad St.

It has filed suit in Hamilton County Circuit Court, asking that the property be vacated.

The initial lease was signed Aug. 11, 1997, between Sticky Fingers and the Chattanooga Land Company. The current lease is due to run through Dec. 16, 2027.

Jack's Alley said it has had trouble reaching Christy Phillips, restaurant chief financial officer, as well as its attorney.

The landlord said it sent a crew to fix a leak at the restaurant on Nov. 7.

The suit was filed by attorneys Randall Wilson and Danzel Bigger.
