Randall Lee “Randy” Carpenter, 68, of East Ridge, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Vanderbilt Medical Center, surrounded by his family.

Randy was well known in the Chattanooga area as owner of Family Concessions. He was responsible for concessions at Warner Park, Frost Stadium, Summit, Chattanooga Zoo, Finley Stadium, the Tivoli Theater, Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium and currently at Camp Jordan Park. Family Concessions is a major supporter of Dizzy Dean and the Chattanooga Mocs. If you ever met or personally knew Randy, you knew that he loved God, his family, his dog, Zoey and his cat, Maggie. Everyone knew that he worked hard, loved even harder and will be missed by many.

Randy is survived by his wife of 30 years, Candie Carpenter; children, Robert and Kaley Carpenter, Ashley and James Blevins, Laura Roberson and Mitzi and Aaron Carpenter Rolfe; grandchildren, Lucas, Lola, Maxwell, Bailey, Brianna, Payton, Ariauna, Logan and Taylor; great-grandson, Lane; mother-in-law, Linda Gail Brown; lifelong best friend Michael Shipley. Randy also considered all of his employees, past and present to be like family, hence the name of his business for over 22 years, Family Concessions.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Daniel Beard officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
