Students, families, faculty, and staff enjoyed the annual Civic and Global Scholars Symposium, which took place in the Probasco Academic Center.
The annual symposium serves at the culmination of multiple years of focused efforts from Baylor juniors and seniors involved in community and globally minded endeavors through Baylor's signature Civic Scholars and Global Scholars programs.
The event was kicked off with brief remarks by English Instructor and Global Education Coordinator Tim Laramore '99 and Mary Beth Hopping, who serves as Humanities Specialist for the Learning Center as well as the Civic Scholars Coordinator. "We had the pleasure to work with a bunch of really motivated and gifted students who are taking advantage of opportunities here at Baylor and beyond to engage in the world and currently and presently live out the mission of the Baylor School and developing their desire and their ability to make a positive difference in the world," said Mr. Laramore.
