The Chattanooga beach volleyball team is on the road once again this Friday and Saturday with the Mocs traveling to Florence, Alabama, to take part in the Shoals Beach Bash hosted by North Alabama.
Set to run March 14-15 at the UNA Beach Volleyball Courts (adjacent to UNA’s Hilda B. Anderson Softball Complex), this weekend’s tournament slate will offer a challenging set of matches to a UTC team that has really hit its stride over the last week.
The Mocs will open their weekend at 10:30 a.m.
ET (9:30 a.m. CT) on Friday, March 14 against tournament host North Alabama. Later that same day, the Mocs will then have an in-state clash with Austin Peay at 2:30 p.m. ET (1:30 p.m. CT). Chattanooga’s tournament will then conclude on Saturday, March 15 with UTC stringing together a doubleheader against Missouri State and Tusculum. The match against MSU is set for a 12:30 p.m. ET (11:30 a.m. CT) start time with the match against TU set to follow immediately after.
Due to looming inclement weather in the Florence area this weekend, there are multiple contingencies in place that can be enacted to that would adjust potential start times, overall match order, potential opponents as well as whether or not matches will be played to completion of decision. The best way to stay up to date on any scheduling changes over the course of the weekend would be by following along with the Chattanooga beach volleyball social media accounts.
