Woman Finds Unknown Man In Her Adult Daughter's Bedroom - And Other East Ridge Police Calls

Police responded to Sundray Drive after a mother became unglued after finding a man unknown to her in her young adult daughter’s bedroom. Prior to police arrival the man exited the area with haste. Police canvassed the area but were unable to locate anyone matching his description.

ERPD responded to a multi-vehicle crash involving injuries just south of East Ridge on I-75 northbound. ERPD stood by until Catoosa and GSP arrived on scene.

Police responded to an auto parts store on Ringgold Road on reports of a disorder. Upon arrival, police spoke with the manager of the store who advised a customer attempted to pay with counterfeit money. The officer spoke with the man who said he had just received the money from an area bank. Police checked the money with a counterfeit pen and found the bills to be legitimate.

Police responded to Ringgold Road in an attempt to locate a couple arguing. Officers spoke with several business owners in order to locate the couple. However, no one had seen or heard an argument.

Police spoke with a complainant on Fountain Avenue who said she had entered her vehicle at approximately 7:45 a.m. and noticed her neighbor was inappropriately touching himself under his clothing. She said he was in the kitchen, but he made it more obvious when he noticed she was in her vehicle. The complainant wanted to document the incident.

Officers executed an arrest warrant for domestic assault on Roper Street. The subject was transported to jail without incident.

A manager found a black backpack at Camp Jordan containing a loaded Glock 43 handgun in the lost and found. The firearm had a chambered round along with six rounds in the magazine. The firearm and backpack were turned into ERPD Property Room for safekeeping. The firearm had not been reported stolen, and the owner is unknown.

Police saw a silver sedan drive away from a fuel pump station on Ringgold Road with a fuel nozzle still in the vehicle’s fuel port. The emergency decoupler separated the fuel line as the vehicle drove off. No fuel spill was observed. The driver of the sedan spoke with police and reported the issue to staff. 

Police arrested a man at his residence on S. Seminole Drive for an active warrant through the city of East Ridge. The charge on the arrest warrant was for assault. He was transported to Hamilton County Jail without further incident.

A woman reported she was struck by a red SUV in a parking lot on Ringgold Road the evening before. The red SUV was backing from a parking space when it struck the woman. She said she remained on her feet but dropped some of her belongings. The driver of the vehicle left without checking on the woman. She said she didn't want to prosecute for the incident.

The Whitfield County Sheriff's Office arrested a woman on Ringgold Road for four arrest warrants through the city of East Ridge. A hold was sent to the Whitfield County Jail. The charges on the warrants were aggravated burglary, domestic assault, disorderly conduct and driving on a revoked license.

ERPD units saturated the neighborhood areas near Spring Creek Road, McBrien Road, and S Moore Road after the Chattanooga Police Department reported several vehicle burglaries near Brainerd Road. Nothing significant was found in East Ridge and police maintained a presence through the early morning.

The Chattanooga Police Department received multiple calls concerning two men running through yards in the areas of Hunt Avenue and Spring Creek Road. One person said the two suspects attempted to break into his vehicle but ran away when he confronted them. The suspects were reported to be wearing black and gray clothing.
