Lee Lacrosse Snaps Five Game Losing Streak With 21-12 Win

Nine different players scored for the Lee University lacrosse team as they snapped a five-game losing streak. The Lady Flames defeated North Greenville University 21-12 to go to 2-7 on the season. Lee scored 13 goals in the first half and led it 13-2. NGU made it closer in the third quarter, but Lee held on for the nine-point win.

The Lady Flames scored seven goals in the first quarter with Callie Curtis scoring four. Katelynn Sweeney, Hannah Vecsey, and Kamille Kremkau added the other three goals.
Lee scored six more times in the second quarter. Vecsey scored twice more while Kremkau added another. Noelle Harrington, Taylor McGovern, and Jessie Lyons each scoring as well.

NGU was the dominant force in the third period outscoring Lee 6-2. Curtis scored her fifth goal for Lee while Abby Davidheiser added one. Lee then outscored NGU 6-4 in the fourth period with Makenna Luzier getting a hattrick in the period. Kremkau, Harrington, and McGovern each added another for the 21-12 lead.

It was the highest scoring game for the Lady Flames this season. Lee outshot NGU 35-28 in the win. Savannah Weisman had seven saves for Lee.

Curtis led the way with five goals while Vesey had three goals and six assists.

The Lady Flames will go on the road to the Palmetto State for two games. They will play at Lander University on Saturday, March 22 and then at Converse University on Monday, March 24.
