The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released their Academic All-District selections for the 2024-25 basketball season on Tuesday afternoon with six Covenant players making the cut.
From the women's team, seniors Breezy Savage and Abby Witt were selected while junior Hannah Eidson was also named to the team. This award, nominated by SIDs across the country, recognizes student-athletes who have shown excellence in the classroom and on the court.
This is Witt's second time receiving this honor after earning it last year while this is the first Academic All-District recognition for Savage and Eidson.
From the men's team, juniors Logan Patterson and Adam Deininger were named to the team while sophomore Luuk Dusek also earned recognition.
This is each of Covenant's three honorees first time being selected as an Academic All-District player.
In order to be considered for selection on the Academic All-District Team, you must have excelled in the classroom and on the court. The CSC's requirements are as follows:
Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically.
Student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA.
Student-athletes must compete in 90% of the institution's games or must start in at least 66% of the games.
Patterson, Deininger, and Dusek now will be considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. After voting is done, CSC will release All-America teams in early April.
