Lee Athletics Hosts Second Annual Give Day

  • Thursday, March 27, 2025
The Lee University Athletic Department will conduct its second annual Give Day, which will take place on Tuesday, April 23.

The Developing Champions in the 423 campaign is a 24-hour online fundraising event and will serve as an opportunity for donors, alumni, parents, staff, and friends to help the department continue to develop and graduate champions in the classroom, in their sport, in their faith and in the community.

The Lee teams have combined to win the Gulf South Conference (GSC) All-Sports trophy the last four years and finished in the top 15 of the Learfield Director’s cup last season.
The overall team GPA has bumped up to 3.39; NCAA DII average is 3.19 and the GSC is 3.16.

Donors can give directly to the program of their choice or simply give to the department. All funds raised will go directly towards enhancing the student -athlete experience at Lee through scholarships, facility upgrades, special projects and more.

Thank you for giving to Lee University Athletics! Your gift helps ensure that we continue to lead the way in the Gulf South Conference and NCAA Division II by providing the preeminent college athletic experience for our student athletes. Your support helps enhance this experience through athletic scholarships, facility upgrades, additional staffing, special trips, equipment upgrades and mental health and leadership development resources which prepare our student-athletes to achieve in every facet of life.

“Last year's Give Day was a tremendous success, and we look forward to hosting our second annual event,” said Carman Lastoria, Director of Donor Relations. “With the generous support of our alumni and friends, we can continue to provide a preeminent collegiate athletic experience for our students as we help them develop and graduate as champions in the classroom, their sport, their faith and in service to their communities. We are grateful for the faithful gifts of so many alumni, family, and friends of the Flames!"

"There is an incredible amount of excitement around Lee University athletics, the past, the present, and the future. This Give Day will be a wonderful way for us to connect with many of the people that support our teams," said Lee Athletic Director, John Maupin. "Developing Champions in the 423 is all about continuing to provide great opportunities for our student-athletes and maintaining Lee Athletics as one of the top NCAA DII programs in the country. This support will be vital to the future growth of Lee Athletics and will allow us to continue striving for excellence in our sports, as well as Godly impact in the lives of our student-athletes."
