Covenant Women Post 7-0 Tennis Win At Belhaven

The Covenant women's tennis team traveled to Belhaven looking to begin the final week of the regular season with a victory. The Scots did that in dominating fashion, taking down the Blazers 7-0. 

Final: Covenant 7, Belhaven 0 Lauren Carr and Zoe Giuntoli won in the No. 1 doubles slot, blanking Ally Everett and Lillian Williams 6-0. In the No. 2 position, Christina English and Estee Verdery suffered a 3-6 loss to Evey Moore and Millie Gallarno.

Ora Hall and Caroline Tisdale won by forfeit in the No. 3 ranked match to give Covenant the doubles point.

Carr picked up her second win of the afternoon in the No. 1 singles position, taking down Everett in straight sets 6-2, 6-2. Verdery bounced back from her singles loss, defeating Gallarno 6-4, 6-2 in the No. 2 ranked match. In the No. 3 slot, Giuntoli earned her second win of the match, taking down Williams 6-4, 6-4. In the No. 4 position, English dominated Khliyah McCaskill-Ford 6-0, 6-0. Hall manned the No. 5 slot and defeated Moore 6-2, 6-0.

Tisdale won the final singles match by forfeit. 

Covenant has its final regular season game at home tomorrow at 4 p.m. against Agnes Scott.
