Covenant Women Post Tennis Win On Senior Day

The Covenant womens tennis team played its final home match of the year against Agnes Scott and honored senior Lauren Carrpregame. The Senior Day celebrations didn't distract Covenant from getting the job done as it delivered a 6-1 win.

Final: Covenant 6, Agnes Scott 1 
In doubles, Lauren Carr and Zoe Giuntoli had an impressive 6-0 win over Leilah Lewinson and Taylor Hendley in the No. 1 ranked match. In the No. 2 slot, Christina English and Estee Verdery took down Katherine Cox and Jasmine Ziller with a 6-2 result. In the No. 3 position, Caroline Tisdale and Ora Hall defeated Feliz Pearson and Trinavay Lee 6-2 to earn the doubles sweep.
 
Carr blanked Henley 6-0, 6-0 to end her Senior Day with two wins in the No. 1 singles slot.
In the No. 2 ranked match, Verdery took care of Lewinson with a 6-2, 6-1 result.
Giuntoli reigned victorious in a tiebreak in the No. 3 slot, defeating Cox 3-6, 6-2, 1-0 (8).
In the No. 4 ranked match, English had no problems, defeating Ziller 6-0, 6-1.
Hall earned another win for the Scots, defeating Pearson 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 5 position.
Tisdale fell in a tiebreak 4-6, 6-4, 0-1 (1) to Lee in the No. 6 slot, to give Agnes Scott their lone win of the day.

Covenant begins the CCS Tournament on April 26th.
