The Covenant baseball team and Ferrum were back in action Saturday for a doubleheader as the Scots needed just one win to earn the series victory. That win came in game two as Covenant left town with bragging rights until the next time they face the team from the ODAC.

Game 1 Final: Covenant 2, Ferrum 4 Covenant scored its lone two runs of the game in the first inning as Sam Cecil hit a two-run home run to right field, his third of the year.
In the second inning, Gregory Melo hit a two-run home run down the right-field line for the Panthers to tie the game up. Both pitchers settled in as no runs were scored the next two innings.
Consecutive RBI doubles with two outs for Ferrum in the fifth inning gave it the lead.
