Keep Soddy-Daisy Beautiful is hosting its 2025 Community Recycling Event this Saturday from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at Sequoyah High School, 9517 Sequoyah Access Road. The event is free and open to the public as part of the national Greatest American Cleanup.
Recyclables will include tires, electronics, documents for shredding (10 a.m-2 p.m.) and unused medications (10 a.m-2 p.m.). Additional materials may be accepted; check the event website for the most up-to-date list and timing at
ksdb.cc/recycle.
Officials said, "This event is made possible thanks to generous support from Keep Tennessee Beautiful, TVA and iSustain Recycling, along with partners Liberty Tire Recycling, City eWaste, River City Shredding and the Hamilton County Coalition."
“Whether you’ve got old tires or just a servant’s heart, we need you at this event.
Let’s pitch in and keep Soddy-Daisy beautiful,” said Cindi Sanden, executive director of Keep Soddy-Daisy Beautiful.
Volunteers are still needed and can sign up at ksdb.cc/recycle. Donations are also welcome to help offset event costs such as equipment, signage and recycling services.
The event caps off a week-long Cleanup Challenge (April 21–27), where teams from across the community work to clean up litter and beautify neighborhoods.
"Let’s work together to keep Soddy-Daisy clean and thriving," officials said.
