Linda Fay Medlock Bowman
Our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to Linda (Mamaw) Fay Medlock Bowman. She passed peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 6, 2025. Linda was the heart of our family, a woman whose love knew no bounds. Her simple presence brightened every room she walked into and every life she touched. She had a gift for making everyone she met feel heard, seen, and loved. Through every hardship and trial she faced she exuded continuous bravery and positivity, all while nurturing and uplifting those around her. Though she is not physically here with us today, her warmth, strength, and generosity will remain in our hearts forever.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Bill; daughters Christie (Bert), Melissa (Brandon); grandchildren Kyla (Garrett), Payton, Kale, Presley, Kase, Zoe (Eric), Allie (Cole); great-granddaughter, Mary Helen; brother, Lonnie (Diane)and preceded in death by her mother and father; John and Rena Berthoud.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 10, from 4-7 p.m. and Friday, April 11, from 10-11 a.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343. The funeral service will follow Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Fred Steelman officiating. The committal service and burial will be Friday, April 11, at 3:30 p.m. at Knob Creek Cemetery, 959 N. Knob Creek Rd, Seymour, TN 37865, (Across from Knob Creek Baptist Church).
