Chattanooga beach volleyball will finally be able to kick off the second half of their conference season this Wednesday after this past weekend’s inclement weather pushed back UTC’s matches against UT Martin to Wednesday, April 9.
The Mocs, who are currently riding a six-match win streak as a team, have their sights set on pulling away in the OVC regular season title race this week as UTC takes on in-state rival twice. The first match on Wednesday at 3 p.m. ET (2 p.m. CT) will count as a conference match for the two sides, while the later 5 p.m.
ET (4 p.m. CT) match will only count as a non-conference matchup.
The two teams went right down to the wire the last time they met when the Mocs picked up a narrow 3-2 win over the Skyhawks on Chattanooga’s home sand. The Skyhawks will now be looking to enact revenge on a UTC squad that currently stands one match clear of Morehead State atop the OVC standings with UTM following right behind MSU.
Both of Wednesday’s matches will be available to stream on ESPN+. Live stats will also be provided by UT Martin. Links to the streams and stats can be found above or on the Chattanooga beach volleyball schedule page on GoMocs.com.
