Woman Arrested For Child Endangerment - And Other East Ridge Police Calls

25-006616 – 5000 BLK Delaware Drive – Child Abuse/Arrest
Police responded to the area on reports of a toddler walking the roadways towards South Moore without parents. Officers met with witnesses who advised the child, found to be two years old, was sitting on the porch eating cat litter. The child was also found to have multiple scrapes and abrasions to his body, a severe rash as well as bug bites.
He was transported by EMS to the hospital for treatment and later released to the care of DCS. Police met with a party outside of the residence who advised the child to reside there but did not know if the parents were inside. He made several statements leading Police to believe that the parents of the child were home and potentially in distress. Officers located the mother of the juvenile inside the residence asleep. The residence was found to be in deplorable condition and treacherous to the wellbeing of a child. The woman was taken into custody charged with Child Endangerment, as well as for having four outstanding warrants for Child Abuse through the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. Codes Enforcement will be notified of the conditions of the residence to be reviewed for condemnation.
 
Day Shift June 20: B Team

25-006510 – 1500 BLK Prigmore Rd - Assist Other
ERPD assisted the US Marshal in apprehending a wanted fugitive from Puerto Rico. The wanted party was transported to Hamilton County Jail by ERPD.

25-006512 – 6900 BLK Tiffany Lane – Theft
ERPD responded to the above address for utility’s being stolen by the neighbor. The complainant stated an extension cord was hooked up to her power and was running back to her neighbor’s house. The landlord came to the scene and inspected the residence as it was supposed to be unoccupied. A female party was found inside. She stated the past tenant had given her permission to stay here. Code Enforcement arrived and informed her she cannot stay at the residence with no power or water, and the residence could be condemned. The landlord told the squatter she needs to get out by tomorrow morning.

25-006513- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road- Disorder
Police were called about a known male subject taking a woman’s vehicle and phone without her permission. The man stated he left due to both of them getting into an argument. He was unaware that she did not want him to leave with the vehicle. After contacting him multiple times over the phone, the man ultimately left the vehicle in the hotel parking lot. The owner denied prosecution.

25-006514 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road - Domestic Assault/Resisting Arrest
A woman was arrested for domestic assault after her sister claimed she pushed her onto a bed in the room and struck her in the head while attempting to gain control of tv remote control. When officers attempted to speak with the suspect, she yelled at them and attempted to retreat into a motel room. After a brief struggle she was taken into custody and removed from the room. Police attempted to deliver a copy of the conditions of release to the victim, but she had already vacated the property.

25-006515-6500 BLK Ringgold Road-Disorder/Arrest
While on scene investigating the initial disorder call at the listed location, a male subject on scene became irate with the Police and began to yell and curse at officers. He ignored multiple lawful orders to step back and to stop causing a scene. Officers gave one final lawful order to stop his disorderly behavior, but he continued to cause a scene and bring alarm to the public. Police attempted to place him in handcuffs, but he pulled away and attempted to flee the scene. After a short foot pursuit, he was taken into custody for disorderly conduct, resisting, and retaliation for past actions, as he threatened officers on scene while in the back of a patrol unit.

25-006520 – 1000 BLK Hurst St. – Domestic Assault
Police responded to this address in reference to a reported domestic assault in progress. Contact was made with a witness and the victims on Spring Creek Road. The suspect was located, detained, and, following an investigation, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Domestic Assault, False Imprisonment, and Child Endangerment.

25-006523-1300 BLK Boyd Street-Civil Matter
Police responded to the listed address for a tenant and landlord dispute. Police advised the tenant on scene of her rights as a renter and to seek legal counsel for her dispute with her landlord.

Night Shift June 20: D Team

25-006536 – 700 BLK Summit Avenue - Vandalism
The caller reported that sometime between the hours of 5:30 am and 6:45 pm an unknown suspect vandalized her vehicle. Police observed very large scratches and small dents across the entirety of the driver’s side of the car. There is currently no suspect information available.

25-006543 - 1303 Laredo Avenue – Disorder (X3) –
Police responded to the listed address due to the caller’s son walking down the road following an argument. Upon arrival, police contacted the very irate juvenile and were able to eventually calm him down. Police spoke with the parents and developed a plan for the evening. The plan was disregarded, and officers responded to this address an additional two more times to deal with the same issue.

25-006538 – 1300 BLK St Thomas Street - Suspicious activity -
The caller reported that a neighbor was banging on the wall, keeping them up. Police were unable to make contact.

25-006540 – 1400 BLK N Smith Street – Property
The caller reported that while he was driving, a beer can was thrown at his vehicle, resulting in a scratch on the door on the driver's side. Police drove through the area and were unable to locate the beer can or the parties drinking outside. RP did not wish to file a report.

25-006545 – 900 BLK State Line Rd - Unknown Trouble
Dispatch stated that there was a caller, possibly a child, calling in to order a pizza. Dispatch then notified officers that the number had called in again and the caller was just crying. The caller would not provide an apartment number. Officers checked several apartments but heard no signs of distress.

25-006547- 200 BLK Eads Street- Unknown 911
Dispatch received a call but the caller immediately hung up. On a call back, the caller answered and hung up when advised it was 911. Police checked and found no signs of distress.

25-006548 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road - Intoxicated Party
Officers were notified that a male in his 40’s with dark brown hair, wearing black shorts and a white jersey with a backpack, was seen urinating against the building of the gym. The caller stated the male was seen leaving on a mountain bike. Police checked the area and nothing was located.

25-006546 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service
A woman was served with two warrants while in custody at the Hamilton County Jail. The charges were for theft and forgery.

25-006551 – 5500 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest
Police conducted a traffic stop after observing a white Ford van travelling down Ringgold Road without a license plate. Officers identified the driver and passenger before finding that there was a protection order in place between the two parties. Dispatch verified the protection order with deputies at the Hamilton County Jail. The passenger was taken into custody without issue. She was also found to have an outstanding warrant through Georgia for Probation Violation – Possession of Methamphetamine.

25-006552-400 BLK S Lovell Avenue-Theft from a Vehicle
The resident reported that his vehicle's front passenger window was vandalized, and his wallet was stolen from the center console.

25-006565-500 BLK Wando Drive-Domestic Assault/Arrest
Police were dispatched to the listed address on a report of a domestic disturbance. The victim stated that nothing had happened, and that Police were not needed. She had several injuries that were consistent with being assaulted, including hand marks on her neck. Police contacted a man inside the residence, and he stated that he and the female party had gotten into an altercation, and that he had drug her out of the house by her feet. The woman continued to be uncooperative with the investigation. Based on her injuries, witness statements, and the man’s statement, the suspect was placed under arrest for Aggravated Domestic Assault and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

25-006569 – 900 BLK Belvoir Hills Drive - Noise Complaint
The resident expressed various concerns of various noise issues coming from their neighbor's property. Police referred them to the city's noise ordinance policy.

 

25-006570- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road- Citizen Assist
Police were called to the hotel in reference to a firearm being recovered in a room. Police took possession of the firearm for safe keeping until the owner could be notified.

Night Shift June 21: D Team

25-006572 – 700 BLK Flinn Drive – Theft
A resident reported his 8-foot blue fiberglass stepladder was stolen from his driveway while he was doing yardwork.

25-006577 – 1300 BLK Adonna Lane – Noise Complaint
Officers responded to loud music. A short time after the police arrived on scene, the music was turned down. No further incident.

25-006582 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder
A cashier requested a police presence after experiencing unruly customers on multiple occasions this evening. ERPD offered to increase patrol presence throughout the night.

25-006583 – 6600 BLK Hilton Drive – Police Assist Citizen
Police were requested after the resident heard a sound coming from her attic. The officer observed signs of a pest intrusion on roof baffling.

25-006573 – 1500 BLK Tombras Ave – Intoxicated party
The RP reported a group of six people drinking and yelling on the playground. Officers contacted a group of people at the pavilion, and one person was found to be drinking. The man was informed that he could not drink at the park and complied.

 

25-006578 – 4214 Ringgold Rd – Warrant service
A man was served an East Ridge warrant while at Hamilton County jail. The warrant was an Alias Capias for driving on a revoked, suspended, or canceled license

25-006574 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Rd – Robbery in progress (Unfounded)
The caller stated they observed two males walking into the pharmacy with guns. Following further investigation, the call was found to be unfounded, and the location information showed the caller at Pioneer Park. It was also found that the caller was possibly in the group of people whom the police were just out with at the park. Officers were unable to positively identify the caller, and found the call was reported as “Suspicious Activity” but changed to a Robbery in Progress by dispatch.

25-006587- 5700 BLK Roper St - Shots Fired
A caller reported hearing two males yelling at each other, then a gunshot, and the yelling stopped. Officers canvassed the area but were ultimately unable to locate any foul play or injured parties.

Day Shift June 22: B Team

25-006601 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity
A caller reported two people sleeping at the front door of this location. No one was found asleep in the property.

25-006605 – 400 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Found Drugs
Police responded to this location when workers found a small bag of marijuana in the bathroom.

25-006606- 900 BLK Spring Creek Road- CPS referral
Police were called to the hospital in reference to a juvenile getting into his mother’s CBD gummies. A CPS referral was completed.

25-006609 – 2100 BLK Dabney Drive – Burglar Alarm
Police checked the property and found it to be secure. A pastor had triggered the alarm.

Night Shift June 22: D Team

25-006625 – 5000 BLK Newport Drive - Well Being Check
A concerned friend contacted police after he and the resident were on a video call. The caller reported that the man was intoxicated and expressed some concerning thoughts. Police contacted the party and found he was just intoxicated but had no thoughts or plans to harm himself or others.

25-006621 – 1300 BLK Saint Thomas Street – Mentally Disturbed
Police responded to this location after a mental health consumer called in stating she was being harassed by a woman. Police determined no harassment was taking place.

25-006612 – 400 BLK Donaldson Road – Check Hazard –
A semi-truck struck a tree while searching for a detour to west I-24. A large hardwood tree sustained minor damage.

25-006618 – 1100 BLK John Ross Road – Prowler –
A resident called police after hearing a loud noise, the dog barking and observing an open window in the back of the house. No signs of forced entry were observed around the open window.

25-006619 – 1500 BLK Fruitland Drive – Disorder
An anonymous caller reported a female party was intoxicated and hit someone. No visible indications of an assault were observed and witnesses on scene were uncooperative, and their statements were inconsistent. A male party on scene made numerous attempts to instigate confrontation with Officers on scene.

25-006622 – 6200 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder
A customer caused a public disturbance when she shouted at the drive through window and blocked the line with her car when she refused to move her vehicle. The suspect left before the police arrived.

25-006623 – Sheridan Road/Brockhaven Road – Disorder
ERPD investigated an argument between a couple after the couple’s neighbor observed them arguing in the street for an hour. No signs of a physical altercation were detected, and the couple cooperated with the officer’s advice on the issue.


Day Shift June 23: A Team

25-006636- 75 NB- Disorder
Police were dispatched to the welcome center on reports of a disorder. Security who advised a male was parking in the no parking areas. The security asked him to leave but the male remained obstinate to his request. Police contacted the indignant driver who advised he had been tired and wanted to sleep in the shade. He was advised not to park in the no parking areas. He agreed and went on his way.

No case Number- 1500 BLK Springvale Rd.- Civil Matter
Police spoke with a woman who inquired on whether she could move back into her domicile. The officer checked the residence to validate if the subject of her TPO was at the dwelling. Her neighbors stated they had seen a moving truck and movers a few days earlier. No contact was made at the residence. Police called the subject of the TPO who advised she had moved out and would not be returning.

25-006644-500 BLK Wando Dr.- Disorder Prevention
Police spoke with a man who stated he had papers that allowed him to acquire his belongings from the residence. It was found there was a TPO in place preventing the visit.

25-006642 – 1300 BLK St. Thomas Street – Miscellaneous Complaint
A resident attempted to report that the maintenance man had inappropriate pictures of him. By this, he meant the center had installed exterior cameras on the buildings. He was encouraged to change clothes away from the window or invest in curtains.

25-006640 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road - Unconscious Party/Assist EMS
Police were informed that an elderly male had fallen and was unresponsive. Upon arrival, the male was conscious and speaking with responders and bystanders. Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and took him to the hospital for further medical evaluation.

Night Shift June 23: C Team

25-006653 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder / Criminal Trespass
Police responded to a disorder at the grocery store. Management reported a homeless male was harassing customers and refused to leave. Officers located the subject (local legend, generally practicing karate on fixed objects) and determined he was responsible for the incident. He was criminally trespassed and agreed to leave the premises. Proximity Restriction 25-000114.

25-006661 – 3700 BLK Fountain Avenue – Disorder
Police responded to a civil matter in Building 6 of the apartments. While on scene, an unrelated person approached a Police Officer and began yelling at him to move his patrol vehicle. She claimed the Officer’s vehicle left her without a parking space close to the building. The Patrol Supervisor responded to the location and found several open parking spaces in the same general area. The woman, who has previously felt unrelated police activity at the large complex somehow involved her, went into her apartment and did not further pursue the matter.

25-006663 – 3500 BLK Mimbro Lane – Disorder / Arrest
The caller reported that a known man arrived at his house in a very intoxicated state. He in turn told the man to leave. He initially complied but returned and broke down the front door. He then assaulted the resident inside the home. The suspect was arrested and charged with Aggravated Burglary, Vandalism, Public Intoxication, and Assault. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without further incident.

25-006670 – 1400 BLK Choate Road – Assist Other Agency
East Ridge Police assisted Chattanooga Police Officers in locating a theft suspect. The suspect’s vehicle was located at this address and East Ridge Police Officers stood by while Chattanooga Police Officers conducted their investigation. CPD Officers spoke with the suspect and recovered a stolen item from the residence, reference CPD 25-054050.

25-006671 – 4000 BLK Stump Street – Well Being Check
A therapist with an online support service reported disturbing messages from a party at this address. Police responded to the location and spoke with the subject and his guardian. Officers found the subject was expressing frustrations with perceived cyber bullying. Police found the subject had no plan or intent to harm anyone that evening.

25-006672 – 3900 BLK Wiley Avenue – Aggravated Burglary
A man reported that his ex-girlfriend showed up at his house uninvited and entered his home without permission. He provided evidence that supported his claim. Police were not able to locate the woman, but an arrest warrant is being sought.

25-006675 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Vehicle / Assist Other Agency
Following a traffic stop, a man was taken into custody for a Probation Violation warrant through the Hamilton County Sessions Court. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

25-006676 – 1400 BLK N Smith Street – Domestic Assault / Arrest
A woman reported that her husband assaulted her at their residence. Police observed physical marks on her face consistent with her statement. Officers attempted to locate him at his residence, but he did not answer the door. Police found that he had repeatedly called the victim after the incident and determined he was still in the home. A search warrant was obtained for the residence, and it was executed by ERPD Patrol and ERPD K9. The suspect was found inside the home and was taken into custody.

25-006677 – 1600 BLK Mack Smith Road – Missing Juvenile (Resolved)
The caller reported that her grandson left their residence after an argument about the state of his room. She could not locate the juvenile and attempted to call his cell phone several times. Police checked the area and found the juvenile hiding behind a heating and air unit next to the residence. The juvenile agreed to go back inside his home.
