Planning Commission Votes 5-4 In Favor Of New Scooter's Coffee On South Broad

The Planning Commission voted 5-4 to recommend approval for a zoning change to allow a new Scooter's Coffee on South Broad Street. The location is in a former bank that was later an antique store. It backs up to Charger Drive and is across from Chattanooga Christian School. An amendment says there should be no traffic going onto Charger Drive from the coffee shop. I watched and listened to the video of the guy who was killed at McDonalds after ramming a police car. Sure, his license plate came up with an alert. He was in the drive thru at McDonald's and the story goes that he rammed a police car. He was boxed in, with nowhere to go, yet upon ramming a police car the unbelievable amount of gunshots was assailed upon him. I would love to know, and you know the police know this, just how many shots were fired and by how many officers actually fired ... more

Extra Base Hit Barrage Leads Lookouts Past Clingstones

The Lookouts pounded out six doubles and two homeruns and then lock down closer Trevor Kuncl closed the door on the Columbus Clingstones on Tuesday night to give Chattanooga the 6-5 victory. The Lookouts were just 3-11 with runners in scoring position and left ten men on base but Ethan O'Donnell and Ruben Ibarra homered and Cam Collier added two doubles.
