Prep Football Jamboree Expands With 15 Teams Participating

Action Begins With Scrimmages On August 8th

Fifteen high school football teams will take to the field at Finley Stadium this August to participate in the annual Jamboree and Scrimmages over the course of two weekends starting on August 8 and 9 and again on August 15. This is the second time in a 26-years stretch that the event will be played over the course of two weekends. And if that weren’t enough- we are delighted to have the Heritage band scheduled to perform. This will be the first time any band from any of the participating schools has taken part in this event. This 140-member band will add a 10-minute show to the scrimmages on Saturday Night Aug 9 th . All the teams from Tennessee have hopes of returning to Finley ... (click for more)

Woman Involved In I-75 Wreck That Claimed Lives Of Her 2 Children Admitted To Smoking Pot

A woman who was involved in an I-75 wreck in Bradley County late Monday morning that took the lives of her two children admitted to smoking marijuana that morning, the Tennessee Highway Patrol said. Emily N. Shaver, 22, of Summerfield, Fla., is charged with two counts of vehicular homicide along with DUI, reckless endangerment, violating the child restraint law, and drug possession.
