Tour of Downtown Living Set Oct. 28 With 7 Properties

The first Tour of Downtown Living is scheduled for Oct. 28 and will feature seven downtown residential properties.

Plans for two other downtown housing projects will be displayed in Waterhouse Pavilion at Miller Plaza.

Sponsored by the Chattanooga Downtown Partnership, homes on the tour will be open from 1 to 6 p.m. Tour badges which serve as tickets are $10 in advance and $12 on the day of the event. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Cornerstones Inc. and a number of downtown restaurants will give 10 percent discounts to those wearing badges.

Badges may be purchased in advance at the partnership office in Miller Plaza or on the day of the event at Waterhouse Pavilion between 12:30 and 4 p.m.

A CARTA shuttle will take those who wish on the two-hour tour, leaving Miller Plaza every 30 minutes until the last tour at 4 p.m. Others may drive to the tour sites.

Homes on the tour include First & Market Condominiums, model unit, 101 Market Street; Lindsay Court, home of Leland Bohl and Marj Fleming, 420 Lindsay St.; Robinson Apartments, model unit, 622 Georgia Ave.;Chattanooga Bank Building, home of Robert and Darlene Brown, 737 Market St.

Also on the tour are Cowart Place Townhomes, model unit, 17th Street between Market and Broad; The Crabtree, home of John Jewell and Susan Mills, 1426 Williams St.; Southern Railway Building Loft Apartments, model unit, 1301 Market St.
