Janet Paschal
Janet Paschal, a Grammy Award-winning performer, will be at Lee University on Thursday, November 15, at 10:40 a.m. in the Conn Center. The service will be shown closed circuit in the Dixon Center.
After Janet moved to Nashville in 1992, she became the official spokesperson for Mission of Mercy, an international Christian relief organization. She also serves as a member of the Mission of Mercy Advisory Board.
She has performed more than 120 concerts each year, including guest appearances with the Rev. Billy Graham, Bill and Gloria Gaither, and President George Bush.
She has received numerous Dove Award and Grammy Award nominations, and was named in the "Top Ten Favorite Female Vocalists" in Charisma Magazine's music pole for three consecutive years.
She recently wrote a book, entitled "The Good Road," which is based around her journal entries that have helped her gain perspective on life and also became words for songs. In addition to her new book and recording title, "The Good Road," Janet has also just released a concept video from the first single, "Another Soldier's Coming Home." She penned the song for her grandfather, whose health was failing.
Of her life, Janet says, "I conclude that, for me, there is no other way but to follow Christ. To study Him. To pursue Him. He has carved a place in my heart that years for Him."
