Gary Lee Madron, 45, of Hixson, died at Memorial North Park Hospital in Hixson, Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001.
Mr. Madron was the owner and operator of Madron Appraisals in Hixson and was a member of Hixson United Methodist Church.
He was born in Greeneville, Tenn., Jan. 18, 1956. He was a son of Helen Waddell Madron of Hixson and the late Andrew Madron.
His grandparents were the late Mark and Cleo Cox Waddell of Greene County and the late Dr. Edwin and Minnie Madron of Piney Flats, Tenn.
In addition to his mother, survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Valerie Madron of Chattanooga; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilyn and Douglas Penland of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., and Judy and Paul Appleby of Chattanooga; one special uncle and wife, H.K. and Bobbie Waddell of Greene County; two special aunts, Dorothy Waddell Leonard of Greeneville and Margarette Osborne of Johnson City; special cousins, John and Michelle Somich of Johnson City; special nieces and nephews, Andrew, Melanie, Jennie and Matthew Madron, Kristen, Joey, and Michael Appleby, Paul and Rachel Penland, John Penland and Beth Penlad; a great-nephew, Kyle Penland; and numerous cousins and other relatives in Greeneville and Greene County.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at Doughty Stevens Funeral Home, where the funeral service will begin at 4 p.m.
Interment will follow at Zion United Presbyterian Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Stephen R. Weisz officiating.
Pallbearers will be Mark Waddell, Tom Leonard, Tim Leonard, John Somich, John Eason, Benny Thompson, Richard Adams and Nick Thomas of Chattanooga.
Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Waddell, David Jeffers, Jim Warner, Glen Renner, Harold Rader, Travis Eason, Frank Henley, Mike Adams, Mark Adams and Tommy Howard.
