Scott Kornblum has been named as the new director of development at Public Radio 90.5 WSMC.
Mr. Kornblum graduated from the University of Delaware with a double major in business administration/marketing and economics. Following two years of work as a research analyst, he was recruited to work as business manager for Pittsburgh-based media company Steel City Media.
Six years later, upon the expected arrival of their first child, Mr. Kornblum and his wife relocated to the Eastern Shore of Maryland where they opened a child daycare center licensed for 200+ children. He served as president and chief administrator of Building Blocks Christian School for 10 years and then sold the business and relocated to the Collegedale area along with his wife and two children.
Mr. Kornblum said, "It is extremely rewarding to be affiliated with WSMC and with Southern Adventist University, two entities that have long traditions of excellence in serving students and the community."
