Gloria Sawyer Davis, 54, formerly of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006, in Phoenix, Az.
She was employed by Angel Care Giving Services. She attended Booker T. Washington School and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Hixson while living in the city.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Davis, of Phoenix, Az.; children, Timothy Wade Sawyer, of Chattanooga, Lawrence H. (Virginia) Sawyer, of Las Vegas, Myron Sawyer, of Phoenix, and Barry Thompson, of Las Vegas; ten grandchildren; sisters, Lawrencene (David) Bonta, of Salinas, Ca., Jacqueline Moore, of Chattanooga, and Delores (Sam) Douglas, of Hineville, Ga.; brothers, Jackie (Sue) Sawyer, of Chattanooga, and Anderson Sawyer, of Inglewood, Ca.; uncle, Samuel Taylor, of Chattanooga; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
