Shumacker Witt Gaither & Whitaker Awarded Pro Bono Firm Of The Year

At a reception hosted by the Young Lawyers Division and Pro Bono Committee of the Chattanooga Bar Association, Shumacker Witt Gaither & Whitaker, P.C., was recognized as the 2006 Pro Bono Firm of the Year by Legal Aid of East Tennessee.

Accepting the award for the firm was firm president Alan Cates.

He said, “We are extremely honored to be recognized in this way. In addition to the work we do in the corporate sector, we strive to contribute our legal expertise to people in need.”

Other Shumacker Witt Gaither & Whitaker attorneys were on hand to receive the award, including Jane Ricci, long-standing member of the Pro Bono Committee of the Chattanooga Bar Association and Grace Yang, a member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Chattanooga Bar Association.
