Elizabeth C. Dixon, 79, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008,
She was a longtime resident of Alton Park.
She is survived by her son, Roland Young Gregory (Betty) Dixon, of Chattanooga, Chester (Tomilea), Reginald Dixon, of Atlanta; daughter, Shirley (Richard) Bennett, of Chattanooga; foster children, Mary Nell Harris, Eric, Michael Sneed, Stephanie Malone, Wanda Reed; grand-children, Tonya McCauley, Crystal Dixon, Gregory C. Dixon Jr., Terrance L. Bennett, Caitlin Elliot, Derrick Walker, Lawanda Edwards, other grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Kentasha McCauley, Frankesha Usher, Kiara Dixon, Briana Crawford, Gregory C. Dixon III, Christopher Gregory Dixon, Jacobi Dixon, Michael Talley, Pagie Young, Anthony Cal Jr.; great-great-grandchildren, Markayla Greer, Malik Allen; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be at noon on Saturday, at Union Grove Baptist Church with Elder Eugene Mathis, the Rev. Oscar Lockhart and the Rev. Richard K. Bennett officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Her body will lie in state after noon Friday at McCallie Avenue Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Directors.
