Dr. Linda C. Hill, CRNA, DNSc and program director of the University of Tennessee-Erlanger Health System Nurse Anesthesia Program was recently awarded the Elizabeth Dalton Award by Dean Mary Tanner, College of Health, Education and Professional Studies at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga (UTC).
“The Elizabeth Dalton Award is given in honor of Dr. Elizabeth Dalton who was an educator during the 50's and 60's” explained Dean Tanner. “Her talents were so balanced that she represents the ideal teacher, researcher and outreach model for a college like this one where professional practice is as important as ‘book learning.’ Thus, we give this award to the best all round faculty member; talented and exhibiting excellence in all three areas.”
According to Dean Tanner, Dr. Hill has shown all of these attributes since she arrived at UTC.
“She leads a very unusual program housed off-campus at Erlanger, yet is very much a part of the vision of College of Health Education and Professional Studies,” said Dean Tanner.
Dr. Hill joined the UTC-Erlanger Health System Nurse Anesthesia Program as director in August 2005.
