The historic Giles House on the top of Lookout Mountain will be sold at an absolute auction on July 23.
The sandstone mansion is located in Lookout Mountain, Tn., on East Brow Road between the Incline Railway station and Point Park.
Officials of John Dixon Auction said it will be an absolute auction.
The auction begins at 7 p.m.
Officials said, "This is truly a unique buying experience where a family trust is seeking a prompt sale for division among heirs. The family partnership has contracted with JDA to sell the historic home at absolute auction…where the owners do not reserve the right to reject any bid."
The Giles house was built by David Giles in 1906. He occupied the home for only four years prior to his death.
The home was converted to six apartments in the 1940s.
The one-acre site features the main house, a carriage house and a large level lawn. The main house faces the bluff with panoramic views of downtown Chattanooga and the Tennessee River.
The location is 1102 East Brow Road.
